Club Chai Anniversary Anthology

CopyditorCLUB CHAI is a record label, event series, and curatorial project 
founded by Esra Canoğulları and Lara Sarkissian in Oakland, California. While connecting artists globally, the founders throw parties under the CLUB CHAI label with the intention of carving out sounds and spaces that consider the ways they’ve built narratives as a reflection of their current and future selves.

This limited-run archive book traces the evolution of Club Chai, spanning from 2016 to 2021, in a series of event photos and writing contributions from friends that encapsulate the visual identity of 
the project.




As copyeditor and friend of the label, I had the honor of contributing a foreword to this anthology 
in an act of remembrance for the communal euphoria experienced on the dance floor.
